Hello Roger,

This is Delores, from up here in Jersey, writing to let you know that you have been on my mind.  And then when I received the two recent e-mails I stopped everything to drop this short expression to you before any more time passed.

As always, it is good to hear from you.  Praying that you and your family are doing well.
Lisa, Nana Evans, and I want you and the GA/COPS to know that we will always remember
the way you showed love, concern, and support for the Whitehead Family during the death
of our loved one, Deputy Joseph Tim Whitehead, Jr., Bibb Co., Macon GA, March 23, 2006.
As the second year of JT's death approaches, it is still a very difficult time.  But what helps
is the love and prayers of those who care and share what we are going through as we live
at a distance when it comes to keeping up with the trial proceedings which are still going
on.  However, the DA's Office (County) and the Federal DA's Office are doing a very good
job of keeping us informed about the progress, court hearings and court dates, as well as
updating on the results of same.  Thank you for helping us emotionally, financially, and
spiritually during the Memorial Events 2007.  We will never forget those times and seeing
you and others being there for the family.  Thank you also for getting us in contact with the
NJ Garden State COPS chapter.  Lisa and I just attended the March 8th meeting and plan
to stay involved by active participation on the local and the national level because we realize
the value and commitment of this mission that we are all involved in now as "family".

Lisa and I have made plans to attend National Police Week in May.  Also looking forward
to attending our respective Siblings and Parents Retreats.  We have our copy of the Winter
2008 COPS Newsletter and have been receiving several other communications.

Again, it is with much appreciation, so much gratitude that you remember us in the ways
that you do.  Looking forward to staying in touch with you, Brenda Parker and many others
of our Georgia COPS Family.  Our prayers continue for all.

Delores Whitehead
